RESIDENCE, THEBES, 2002
This building was designed for a four-member family and is located in a residential area, among similar sized buildings. The living and dining rooms are on the ground floor, while its three bedrooms are on the first floor.
It differs from the typical two-story houses of the area in a number of ways:
- a recessed ground floor volume instead of the cube configuration
- a covered parking area giving an unimpeded connection to the garden
- roof terraced and garden instead of cantilevered balconies
- cylindrical staircase as a vertical element through the main rectangular shape of the house.
The materials used on the facądes are: concrete, white plaster and metal.
