SMALL RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL COMPLEX, THEBES, 2004-06
The building faces a commercial street at the entrance of the town. Its function is according to the typical mixed-use buildings of the rural Greek areas, with commercial use on the ground floor and housing on the upper levels.
Unlike the neighbouring buildings, which are built on the verge of the street, this building is located at the back of the site, allowing the front courtyard to be used as free space for the needs of the two shops.
On the first and second floors there are two apartments, both including a mezzanine floor. Their wide balconies overlooking the street act as unifying elements on the main facądes of the building.
The materials used are: concrete, white plaster and metal.
